The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Florida is seeking applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are recruiting in the areas of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Medical Director (all subspecialties welcome), and Optometry to join our expanding multi-specialty academic practice at the UF Health Eye Center.
These positions offer the immediate opportunity to engage in a busy tertiary clinical practice within an established, longstanding department, supported by a brand new, state-of-the-art clinic and surgery center. In addition to providing excellence in patient care, faculty will have ample opportunities to pursue independent and collaborative research and contribute to innovative education models in a diverse academic environment. Academic rank and tenure status will be commensurate with experience, and the College of Medicine’s active faculty compensation plan includes incentives and bonuses. Applicants must have completed an approved residency program and, if applicable, postgraduate fellowship training in their subspecialty. Board certification or eligibility and eligibility for Florida medical licensure are required. A demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and academic engagement is also expected.
