Function/Duties of PositionThe appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
This position reports to (supervisor): James Katancik, D.D.S., PhD., Chair/ Yota Stathopoulou, Division Head Periodontology.
The duties of this position include: Participation in the education of advanced education and dental students, establishment and maintenance of a program of scholarly activity. Specific responsibilities will focus on clinical and didactic teaching at the graduate and predoctoral level, participating in dental research, participating in strategic planning activities, and providing direct patient care.
Required Qualifications
- D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a CODA accredited school or equivalent
- Completion of advanced education program in Periodontics from a CODA accredited program
- Board Certification in Periodontics
- Ability to obtain Oregon Dental License and moderate sedation certification
- Experience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are preferred
- BLS Certificate issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
