Position Summary:
Arkansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a 12-month, full time, non-tenure (teaching) track, Assistant Professor in Anatomic Pathology. This will be a predominantly teaching position (>75%), including teaching clinical year students in diagnostic pathology. This position will also include research/scholarly activities and service. Teaching of DVM students will be in a competency-based veterinary curriculum incorporating lecture, lab and small group learning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to competency-based curriculum development with a focus on anatomic pathology
- Teach general and systemic pathology and diagnostic reasoning in the DVM curriculum in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings
- Provide diagnostic service to the Arkansas Veterinary Diagnostic Lab in Little Rock
- Collaborate in research endeavors
- Contribute to college and university committees and/or serve on regional or national professional organizations
- Mentor DVM students
- Other duties as assigned

Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff
Ability to communicate effectively across CVM stakeholders
Ability to prioritize tasks, deliver results in a timely manner, and function independently
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience
Minimum Qualifications:
A DVM (or equivalent)
Board certification or eligibility in anatomic pathology (DACVP or equivalent)
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
