Position Summary
The Franklin College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Georgia (UGA) invites applications for multiple open faculty positions, beginning August 1, 2026. We are broadly interested in scientists who address either fundamental or applied questions in the area of Therapeutics Discovery and who will lead a dynamic and highly collaborative laboratory. Each candidate will be expected to vigorously contribute to the tripartite teaching, research, and service missions of the University.

This posting advertisement is for Assistant Professor in the Genetics Department (tenure track) with a research program that includes the development and/or use of genetic models of human diseases that can be used for drug discovery.
Additional Requirements
One or more years of postdoctoral experience is required at the time of appointment.

An ideal candidate will have a research program that includes emphasis in areas related to aging, epigenetics, chromosome biology, gene regulation, systems biology, and/or drug resistance mechanisms.
