The Mathematics and Physics department is actively looking to fill a tenure-track position in Mathematics & Statistics. Qualified candidates should be well versed in the recent changes to high school mathematics, demonstrate leadership abilities (through department committees, Faculty Senate, campus-wide committees, etc.), and have experience collaborating across multiple disciplines and contribute towards curriculum development. This tenure-track position includes teaching courses within the Mathematics and Physics department including, but not limited to, algebra, quantitative reasoning, data analytics, statistics, and calculus. Anticipated start date would be Spring 2026.
General duties include:
1. Teaching an average of 15 credits per semester.
2. Serving as an academic advisor for programs advised by the department.
3. Holding regular office hours.
4. Participating in university service.
5. Attending regular department meetings and participate in department assessment activities and initiatives.
6. A commitment to continued growth, including statistics course-taking to assist with data analytic minor and major
Job Requirements:
Required:
- Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field. Higher Education teaching experience. Interest or experience in Data Analytics and statistics.
Preferred:
- PhD or ABD, mathematics education. Teaching experience for a variety of levels of statistics (algebra based through calculus based).
