| Position Summary: | The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Villanova University invites applicants for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Organic Chemistry to teach in our department, which offers ACS-certified B.S. degrees in chemistry, ASBMB-accredited B.S. degrees in biochemistry, and M.S. degrees in chemistry. The successful candidate will receive a start-up package and a pre-tenure sabbatical. Please visit our webpage for information about the department. | Duties and Responsibilities: | The successful candidate will contribute to the vibrant curriculum of the department at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, teaching up to 15 contact hours per year (12 in the first year), with courses in organic chemistry and in additional area(s) of specialty. The candidate will establish and maintain an active and productive research program, integrate undergraduate and graduate students into research, actively seek extramural funding, and effectively participate in departmental/university and professional service.  | 
| Minimum Qualifications: | Applicants should have a Ph.D. in chemistry where they specialized in organic chemistry research.  | 
| Preferred Qualifications: | Post-doctoral research experience that broadens the candidate's expertise. Experience teaching and mentoring undergraduates in both classroom and laboratory settings. Applicants should show potential for success in teaching and research in a liberal arts setting.  |
