Greetings. The NASP Accredited Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) School Psychology Track/Program in the Department of Psychology and Counseling within the College of Education and Behavior Science at Arkansas State University (ASTATE) is pleased to announce that applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology-School Psychology, Tenure-Track (9 months) faculty position are now being accepted. Please share this information with any potential applicants.
Duties and Responsibilities may include but not be limited to teaching the following graduate courses: Psychological and Educational Assessment, School Psychology Practicum in Applied Settings, Developmental and Differential Psychology, Applied Analysis of Psychological Research, and Professional School Psychology. Other duties include student advisement and mentoring; maintaining an active research program; service to the program, department, college, and university; and other duties as assigned.
Required Documentation: Applicants must submit (1) cover letter, (2) curriculum vita with reference list, (3) statement of teaching and research philosophy, (4) unofficial transcripts from all colleges/universities, (5) reprints of recent publications and presentations, (6) three-four letters of recommendation, and (7) student course evaluations.
Review of Applications: Screening of applications will begin November 17, 2025.
Anticipated Starting Date: August 16, 2026.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: An earned doctoral degree from a recognized school psychology program accredited/approved by NASP or the American Psychological Association (APA). Applicants must be eligible for licensure as a School Psychology Specialist in Arkansas with the Arkansas Department of Education and certification as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with NASP. Eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Psychologist in Arkansas is preferred with the Arkansas Psychology Board.
