Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine within the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), located in Ewing, Virginia.
This faculty position is focused on the development and delivery of clinical skills laboratory instruction within the DVM curriculum, including medical and surgical skills training and professional life skills instruction.
Position Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and delivery of clinical skills laboratory content
- Teach medical and surgical skills in a hands-on laboratory setting
- Facilitate professional life skills and communication workshops
- Mentor veterinary students in clinical competency and professional development
- Participate in curriculum development and assessment activities
Required Qualifications
- DVM, BVMS, or equivalent degree from an AVMA-COE accredited College/School of Veterinary Medicine
- Eligibility for licensure (or ability to obtain licensure) in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in clinical or academic medicine teaching
- Experience in clinical skills instruction
- Demonstrated interest in student mentorship and professional development
