New Mexico State University's School of Social Work invites exceptional scholars and educators to join our vibrant academic community in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We have two exciting 9-month tenure-track faculty positions available starting Fall 2026-an exceptional opportunity to join multiple new colleagues in our growing program.
Shape the Next Generation of Social Work. Join a close-knit faculty at an R-1 institution where you'll have opportunities for border studies, rural practice research, and meaningful state and community partnerships to advance your scholarship. You'll teach and mentor students in both our BSW and MSW programs while making impactful contributions to our school, university, and broader community. As part of the College of Health Education and Social Transformation, you'll be at the forefront of preparing compassionate, skilled professionals who create positive change.

Requirements

PhD or Doctorate degree, preferably in Social Work
Commitment to community-engaged research and scholarship
Passion for both in-person and online social work education
