Description
St. Bonaventure University invites applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Criminology, with responsibilities to begin with the fall 2026 semester.
Teaching responsibilities are to include introductory courses in criminology, along with more advanced courses such as criminological theory, research methods, and the senior capstone course. Preference will be given to those who have specialization within the fields of corrections, parole, and policing, but those with other areas of specialization are welcome to apply. Teaching load is twelve credit hours per semester. The successful candidate must hold a PhD in criminology or a related field by August 2026.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in the continued development of connections with local, state, and federal agencies, for the purpose of developing fieldwork opportunities for majors. The successful candidate will also serve as an academic advisor to criminology majors, engage in university service, and maintain an active research agenda.
