The teaching load for the position is 12 credit hours (three or four course sections) per semester.Our department offers a new and growing undergraduate Major in Statistics, an undergraduate Minor in Statistics, and an MS in Applied Statistics and Data Science. In addition to teaching introductory Statistics courses, our new colleague will have the opportunity to teach upper-level courses for Statistics majors and minors. Our new colleague is also expected to advise undergraduate Statistics majors, contribute to the department and university through service, and participate in the life of the department.
Villanova has recently strengthened its commitment to continuing non-tenure-track faculty members by making Assistant Teaching Professors eligible for promotion to Associate and Full Teaching Professor. Villanova also provides support for professional development and staying active in the field through conference attendance.
The department has 40 permanent full-time faculty, including 12 statisticians. The department is home to Villanova's Center for Statistics and Data Science Education, which hosts a variety of events, including DataFest Philly each spring. Villanova is located 12 miles west of Philadelphia, which is the nation's sixth largest city and home to many historical and cultural attractions. There is easy access to the Philadelphia International Airport and to nearby cities such as New York and Washington, DC both by highway and by rail.

- Teach 12 credit hours (three or four course sections) per semester.
- Advise undergraduate Statistics majors.
- Contribute to the department and university through service and participate in the life of the department.
