- Assistant/Associate Professor - Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis
Description
The Department of Neurology at Yale School of Medicine seeks to hire a neurologist specializing in Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis at the rank level of Assistant/Associate Professor to complement our services in New Haven County and the greater CT region. This position is primarily clinical; applicants should have expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with central neuroimmune conditions.
The Yale MS Center is a world leading center for multiple sclerosis research and clinical care. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive and collaborative academic environment. Our state-of-the-art facilities in North Haven, Fairfield, New London, and Stamford, CT allow for comprehensive care of patients with on-site imaging and infusion centers, as well as the support of experienced nurses and social workers. In addition to being at the forefront of expert clinical care, the Yale MS Center is at the cutting edge of clinical research and participates in numerous clinical trials within the vibrant culture of biomedical research at Yale.
We seek motivated academics with clinical expertise in (1) the diagnosis and care of adult patients with MS and other autoimmune disorders, (2) participating in clinical trials, (3) teaching residents and fellows. Practice location will primarily be in New Haven County, but other sites may be considered. We provide a highly collaborative, supportive, and mentored environment that promotes specialists to pursue career growth within their specific area of interest. This position offers applicants an exciting opportunity for individual programmatic development and goal discovery across varied academic interests within our division.
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be board certified/board eligible in Neurology and have completed a fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis. Applicants must meet the criteria for medical licensure in the State of Connecticut. Faculty rank will be based on experience.
