- Assistant/Associate/Professor, Division of Nephrology
Description
The Division of Nephrology at Washington University in St. Louis seeks a clinician to join the faculty at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Medicine on the clinical track. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join a collegial faculty with diverse interests in nephrology. The successful candidate will practice predominantly at Barnes Jewish Hospital, a tertiary referral center, where the division staffs five inpatient services. The Division has a large outpatient nephrology care practice with specialty clinics at multiple locations in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. The Division has an active and growing outpatient dialysis practice, including a home modalities program with over 80 patients. The division offers many opportunities for teaching fellows, residents and medical students, and has two transplant and twelve general nephrology fellows. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in clinical research.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient consultative nephrology services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a 1,300-bed tertiary/quaternary care referral center
- Deliver outpatient nephrology care in general and specialty clinics
- Participate in outpatient dialysis care at multiple off site dialysis centers
Educational Responsibilities
- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students
- Participate in didactic conferences and educational initiatives

Requirements and Essential Functions
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Nephrology
- Successful completion of Nephrology Fellowship
- Training in Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Dialysis Catheters
- Desire and ability to participate in teaching with opportunities for clinical research if desired
