Bank Street College of Education is seeking dedicated educators for several full-time faculty positions within its Graduate School of Education’s Teaching & Learning and Leadership departments. These roles are grounded in the College’s 100-year tradition of progressive, learner-centered education and a strong commitment to social justice.
Available Faculty Roles
Adolescent Math Teaching Fellows Program: Instructor and advisor for a new transitional certification program in partnership with NYC Public Schools.
All Grades Special Education Programs: Faculty for students with disabilities programs, transitioning to an "All Grades" model in May 2026.
Infant and Family Development and Early Intervention Programs: Instructor and advisor focusing on early intervention and working with culturally diverse families.
Program Director and Leadership Instructor: Program Director and instructor for redesigned online leadership pathways in Progressive and Early Childhood Leadership.
Leadership in Mathematics Education Program Director and Leadership Instructor: Program Director for educators and coaches seeking to become school leaders with deep math expertise.
Leadership Programs: Faculty for the partnership program with New Leaders, focused on increasing underrepresented building leaders.
Position Overview
These full-time faculty roles combine instructional expertise, field supervision, and administrative program support. Candidates must have depth of experience teaching in early childhood or K-12, ideally in public school settings, as well as demonstrated depth of knowledge and experience with progressive pedagogies.
Additional Responsibilities
All full-time faculty must engage in service to the community through committee work and participation in program, department, and divisional meetings (which are a mix of in-person and online meetings); and mentor graduate students on their integrative master’s projects, as is appropriate.
This position is based in our Manhattan campus, but requires flexibility to teach online and in locations in other boroughs.
