- Frank H. Marks Intellectual Property Fellow (Visiting Associate Professor of Law)
Description
The George Washington University Law School seeks applications for the Frank H. Marks Intellectual Property Fellowship beginning August 1, 2026. This one-year, renewable fellowship is designed for attorneys pursuing a career in legal academia in intellectual property law.
The Fellow will serve as a Visiting Associate Professor of Law, teach one course per academic year, assist in administering GW Law’s Intellectual Property Program, and engage in scholarly research and publication. The Fellowship provides mentoring, research support, networking opportunities, and conference travel funding. Fellows typically pursue tenure-track academic positions during or following the fellowship.
Salary is $75,000 plus full-time benefits, including health insurance and tuition remission. Review of applications begins April 24, 2026 and continues until the position is filled.
Requirements
- J.D. (or equivalent international degree or U.S. LL.M.)
- Strong academic record
- Defined research agenda in intellectual property law
- Interest in teaching and pursuing a legal academic career
