Full-Time Professor in Mechanical Engineering

What will you do?
You will contribute to strengthening the department's research areas and strategic projects, particularly in mechanical design, computational mechanics, mechanism design, finite element analysis and mechanical vibrations. At the same time, you will enrich teaching activities through an academic and professional trajectory that fosters innovation and leadership in students, aligned with the principles, values, and vision of Tecnológico de Monterrey. In addition to your teaching and research responsibilities, you will build academic partnerships with internationally renowned universities to develop leading professionals.
What are we looking for?
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering.
Conduct high-impact research, attract funding, and publish in leading international journals
     Develop collaborative research projects with national and international institutions and with the industrial sector, generating scientific publications, securing external funding, and strengthening the department’s global leadership.
Supervise theses and mentor undergraduate/graduate students
     Promote educational innovation through the Tec21 Model by designing and implementing new teaching and learning strategies in mechanics and manufacturing.
Participate in departmental committees, academic faculty activities, and collegiate groups for curriculum design, continuous improvement, and accreditation processes.
Support student attraction and retention initiatives for academic programs linked to the Department of Mechanics and Advanced Materials.
Requirements
What we are looking for:
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., mechanical design, mechanical vibrations, computational mechanics, mechanism design, mechanics of materials).
Teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate level.
Strong research background with demonstrated productivity in high-quality peer-reviewed journals (Q1 or Q2 JCR ranking).
Proven experience in scientific and technological research, with the ability to collaborate on projects with other institutions and/or the industrial sector.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (TOEFL ≥ 600, IELTS ≥ 7.0, or equivalent – C1 level)
 
Desirable qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in teaching, research projects, educational innovation, consulting
Experience in securing external funding for research projects.
