- Program Director and Assistant / Associate Professor of Industrial / Organizational Psychology

This posting is for two (2) positions and by applying to this posting, applicants will be considered for both these vacancies. Meredith College seeks qualified applicants to the positions of (1) Program Director and Assistant/Associate Professor in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and (2) Assistant Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. These full time, tenure-track positions will begin August 1, 2026.
Requirements
Duties:
Required duties for both positions include teaching on campus at the master’s level, student academic advising, college and departmental service, and engagement in scholarly and professional development. Teaching duties may include undergraduate courses, depending on departmental needs. The director role also includes leadership and administrative duties for the Master’s and 4+1 Industrial-Organizational Psychology program.
Teaching responsibilities:
The typical teaching load will include graduate level Research Methods. Other courses taught will vary and may include offerings within the faculty member’s specialization within Meredith’s curriculum.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Psychology from an accredited institution, and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Administrative experience preferred for the director role.

The Department of Psychology and Social Work is composed of four units, the undergraduate program in psychology, the masters’ program in industrial/organizational psychology, a CSWE accredited bachelor’s of social work, and a clinic for preschool-aged children on the autism spectrum. These four units work in close and collegial collaboration. The I-O psychology program has a strong culture of collaboration and has quickly grown in size, prestige, and reach.
