Description
The Caring for Complex Chronic Conditions (C4) Research Center, within the Department of Medicine - Division of General Internal Medicine, invites applications for a Research Associate Professor position in the appointment stream. We seek a dynamic and accomplished investigator who will help lead impactful research-to-practice initiatives focused on the delivery of healthcare for patients with diabetes and multiple chronic health conditions.
The C4 research center, led by Dr. Ann Marie Rosland, is dedicated to advancing innovative approaches to improve the lives of individuals managing multiple chronic illnesses. The center brings together interdisciplinary expertise to design, test, and implement strategies that enhance patient-centered care, health system performance, and long-term outcomes. The Research Associate Professor will join a dynamic team committed to impactful scholarship, collaboration, and mentorship, contributing to the center's mission of transforming care for complex chronic conditions through rigorous research and meaningful dissemination.
The Research Associate Professor will play a key role in advancing the mission of the C4 research center under the leadership of Dr. Ann Marie Rosland. Responsibilities include assisting in the design and leading collaborative research projects focused on improving care for individuals with multiple chronic conditions. The position will also involve mentoring junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations across the University of Pittsburgh and external partners, and contributing to the development of innovative interventions and health system strategies. In addition, the Research Associate Professor will actively engage in disseminating findings to academic, clinical, and policy audiences to inform best practices and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in health services research, epidemiology, public health, medicine, or a related field.
Possess a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral or faculty-level experience.
Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work across disciplines and engage with clinical, community, and policy partners.
Excellent communication skills for disseminating research findings to diverse audiences, including academic, clinical, and policy stakeholders.
