- Assistant Professor -- Theology
Description
The Department of Theology at Creighton University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. We seek individuals committed to being outstanding teacher-scholars within a primarily undergraduate-serving college. The successful applicant will teach a 3-3 course load that includes first-year core courses in The Christian Tradition and second-year core courses in The Biblical Tradition, as well as upper division elective courses in their area of expertise, depending on departmental needs.

Qualifications
- A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Biblical Studies or closely related field is required to be in hand by the beginning of the contract
- Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations
- Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others
- An emerging record of scholarship
- An ability and willingness to promote the Catholic and Jesuit educational mission of the university
