Description
The American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) School of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS).
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to:
Teaching in SAS areas such as health care delivery systems, health policy, pharmacy practice management, pharmacy law/ethics, pharmacoeconomics, public health, pharmacoepidemiology, and research design
Coordinating and delivering didactic course materials using interactive pedagogical methodologies
Collaborating with faculty in integrated and team-based teaching
Scholarship and dissemination in SAS or related fields
Student advising and mentorship for professional identity formation
Service to the School, University, and profession
Assessment, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement efforts
Requirements
Qualifications
PhD in Social and Administrative Sciences, Pharmacoeconomics, Outcomes Research, Public Health, Pharmacoepidemiology, or related field
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and scholarship
Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank
Preferred:
Pharmacy background
Teaching experience in a PharmD or health professions program
Scholarship in health equity, outcomes research, pharmacoeconomics, or health policy
Familiarity with ACPE standards and assessment practices
